Please visit our website you will be required to log into your membership profile to check availability. As we have a limited amount of sessions available, Legacy and Lake paddling slots will be released with 14 days individual notice and Olympic paddling slots with 7 days’ notice.

Our kayaking membership does not expire but our booking system does! We just need to renew this so please send an email to email@example.com with your membership number and a member of our staff will respond as soon as possible.
Unfortunately due to the high demand for our paddling spaces, we are unable to give priority for members with bookings on hold. Our usual procedure for rescheduling paddling before we closed in March is that anyone could reschedule as long as it was before the session time, this means that a lot of paddlers have multiple sessions on hold. We have tried our best to be as fair as possible.
To use the facilities you must hold a Lee Valley White Water Centre membership and passed an assessment on the water you would like to use (Lake, Legacy Loop, Olympic Course).
To book on our Legacy assessment, you must know how to paddle using a spray deck as well as know how to exit the boat and self rescue.
To book your Olympic assessment, you must have previously taken your Legacy assessment and have the relevant sign off linked to your membership.
Please note, we are currently unable to schedule our Olympic assessment. Please keep an eye on the website and social media pages for further information.
Throughout August we have available a limited number of public paddling sessions available on the Legacy Loop and the Lake. As we move into September Olympic paddling sessions will be available. Please note: the venue will continue to monitor and implement recommended Government guidelines.
To ensure the booking process is fair you will only be able to book sessions for yourself, under your membership ID. Customers will not be able to arrive at the venue and check in under different names. Bookings can be rescheduled up to 16:00 the day before your session but they cannot be transferred to other people. If your booking is released the space will be open for any eligible member to book.
We’re sorry. At this time we are limited to the number of due to the opening times of our venue and to ensure we are in line with Government guidelines. The venue has been hugely impacted by the closure and the team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to offer as much paddling time as we can at the moment. Please bear with us and we will get you back paddling soon.
Please ensure you have read our ‘Keeping you Safe’ information prior to your visit to the venue. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We have changed our safety declaration check in procedure so you will need to have your phone with you when you arrive to collect your bib to scan our new QR code.
Of course, changing rooms are available for all customers partaking in activities only. Please respect others within this area and maintain social distancing where possible. We advise you to spend limited time in this area and please follow the one-way system that is in place. Our changing facilities have a reduced capacity so if you can please arrive ‘paddle ready’ otherwise please be patient. If you do need to use the changing facilities we recommend you arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your session.
The lockers are available to use. Where possible please limit the amount you need to store and only use larger lockers if absolutely necessary. Please speak to a member of our team if you need assistance.
We have assigned an activity zone area near reception where all activity customers can access /egress the lake. NB: The pontoon will not be accessible when sessions on the Water Wipe Out assault course are running.
When entering/exiting the water please do so as quickly as possible to avoid holding up other water users. There will also be access via the steps below the conveyor on the white water course you are using. Please be considerate to other water users
The centre is currently operating on a reduced activity schedule and our public paddling sessions are still in high demand. Due to this, we are restricting bookings from external coaches to allow for Lee Valley assessed paddlers the opportunity to book on and paddle. We are in the process of reviewing how external coaches operate at the centre and on public sessions which means external coaching will not resume until 2021. We will contact all coaches registered with us with more information in the new year.

Yes, Equipment hire is available, please ask at reception when you check in for your activity. All equipment is sanitised before use. When you have finished with your equipment please ask the staff member in the kit distribution room and they will direct you. Before returning wet suits please turn them inside out. NB: The venue is currently operating as cashless only.
Lake sessions will be available during our Legacy and Olympic sessions only and must be pre-booked.
You must have been assessed by a Lee Valley activity staff member to use the lake.
